Amanda Lee Watkins was born and raised in Leesport, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Island Heights, New Jersey. She has a BA in Art History from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She has always excessively drawn. Amanda also works in several mediums including fibers. She co-curated an exhibition of her own weavings and experimental fiber pieces in a show titled “Resurrecting Rust” at PhilaMOCA in 2014. Her illustrations were also incorporated into an installation in another exhibition titled “Watch your Step”. She is currently an illustrator for Saga Press in California and is always on the look out for new projects.
She finds children’s books to be a constant inspiration, along with Edward Gorey and Egon Schiele.
She also offers handwriting services (invitations, cards, envelopes, posters, etc.), along with commissioned illustrations and artwork.
